Rydberg Detector for Advanced RF Payloads (RYDAR) is a project undertaken by our team in response to an ESA call to build and test a prototype model of an application-ready Rydberg sensor. In close collaboration with Thales Alenia Space, we have successfully transferred the Rydberg sensing technology from a laboratory optical table to a ruggedized rack-based mobile demonstrator. The findings of this project, along with extensive test results, will light the way to constructing first in-orbit demonstrators.
