Quantum precision, for space and for the ground.

The radio spectrum is becoming the most contested resource in space and defence. Detecting weak signals across a wide range of frequency bands – reliably, in harsh environments – is beyond what conventional RF technologies were designed for.

Rydberg atoms change the physics of the problem. An atomic sensor measures electromagnetic fields with parameters and capabilities beyond classical antennas, across frequencies from DC to terahertz, in a single compact system operating at room temperature and resilient to strong RF pulses.

At QuRA.space, we are engineering this technology into instruments ready for space missions. Built on years of research at the University of Warsaw, our team combines atomic physics, quantum optics, RF engineering and system design needed to take these sensors from laboratory to orbit – European quantum technology, developed and validated with the European Space Agency and industrial partners.
